The Story of Mileesa ‘Mel’ Ceniza Lumanog & Her Journey to Her First Decade with RAFI.

Cirila Panerio could not forget how she learned about customer relations in a rather unusual way — a fish vendor lashed at her for refusing to accept the latter’s money, which was wet and reeked of fish. To the fish vendor, it was judgmental and condescending.

For Engineer and Environmental Planner of Bantayan, Ethereal ‘Et et’ Diaz, her
profession is her instrument in making a difference in the lives of her fellow Bantayanos.

Leomil or ‘Leo’ started working with the Kool Adventure Camp of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI-KAC) in 2007 as an instructor, enhancing the skills of campers through the youth and professional development programs. He makes sure that campers discover their own capabilities in defeating their own dragons through different physical and mind activities. All this he accomplished well, under his camp name — SilverCloud.

Dr. Juliet Jeruta, Regional Director of DepEd Region 7, has been involved in various RAFI programs like the Kool Adventure Camp and the Education Development Unit particularly on the School Rehabilitation Program and Gabaldon restorations. Recently, she has expanded her involvement to include breast cancer campaign and advocacy of the Eduardo J Aboitiz Cancer Center, and of course, the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. – Seal of Excellence in Education Development (RAFI-SEED).

She believes that we are all born with a mission that will play a role in nation building — including preserving culture & heritage. After having spent ten years with RAFI, she continues to be a living testimony of how heritage and the arts remain to be relevant more than ever.
