The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) welcomed members of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) – Region 7 and KBP National Office for a Culture Collab Tour at the Kabilin Center, highlighting the role of culture and heritage in shaping stronger communities and creating meaningful connections.

The gathering brought together media partners for an immersive experience featuring guided tours of the Casa Gorordo Museum (CGM) and The Kabilin Center (TKC), followed by an evening of dinner and networking fostering deeper conversations and strengthen partnerships between RAFI and the media community.

The activity served as an opportunity to introduce RAFI@60, celebrating the journey to six decades of RAFI’s commitment to transforming lives through community development, education, culture and heritage preservation, environmental stewardship, and other initiatives that create lasting impact.

Through the tour, KBP members gained a closer look into RAFI’s efforts to preserve and promote Cebuano heritage, with culture serving as a bridge that connects generations and keeps shared stories alive. The visit also coincided with the celebration of Pista sa San Juan, allowing guests to witness the traditional Sabwag ni San Juan—a cultural practice that reflects Cebu’s vibrant traditions and communal spirit.

“As we continue this work, we recognize that media remains one of our most important partners. Your role in sharing these stories helps us reach wider audiences, inspire greater appreciation for our heritage, and encourage more people to participate in cultural preservation.

We hope this gathering is not just a moment of appreciation, but the beginning of even deeper collaboration. Together with KBP7 and the broader media community, let us continue telling the stories that matter, protecting the heritage that grounds us, and inspiring the next generation to value and carry forward Cebu’s cultural legacy,” Desiree Gestiada, RAFI Cutlure and Heritage Unit Director expressed during the engagement.

Beyond showcasing RAFI’s heritage spaces and programs, the event marked the beginning of stronger collaboration opportunities with media partners. Through these partnerships, RAFI hopes to continue sharing stories that highlight the impact of its programs, celebrate community achievements, and bring greater awareness to initiatives that support sustainable development.

As RAFI continues its journey of creating meaningful change, media partnerships play an important role in sharing stories of impact, inspiring action, and showing what communities can achieve together.
