Nora was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, but that did not stop her from living life to the fullest. After continuous treatment and therapy, she is now cancer-free and even formed a cancer support group called the Strong Defender, based at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.

As we continue to celebrate the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, here is another inspiring story of hope and continuous fight with the life threatening disease.

Emmylou was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph nodes. And with the help of her family and friends, and continuous chemotherapy and radiation therapy, she is now cancer-free for almost five years.

Sheerene, or ‘En en’ to her close friends, finds fulfillment in her journey with the Kool Adventure Camp of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI-KAC), where she gets the opportunity to help individuals conquer their fears.
