The Municipality of Samboan is partnering with the Education Development Unit of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI-EDU) for the construction of 24 new classrooms and provide students with an efficient learning environment.
A pre-construction meeting was held last May 4, 2018 for the five schools. This was attended by representatives from the community, schools, parents and the local government.
One of the objectives of the meeting was to orient stakeholders on their roles during project implementation to foster collaboration and sense of ownership. The project will cost P34 million, with the municipality providing a counterpart of P3.8 million.

“Samboan is lucky to partner with RAFI and to be a recipient of the 24 new rooms that will be intended for schools that lack classrooms. I am glad that RAFI has been supporting DepEd Samboan through the local government unit. These two organizations have greatly helped us in providing critical resources needed for the opening of classes,” said Victoriano Borla, DepEd Samboan district supervisor.
The Education Development Unit of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI-EDU) helps in the formation of effective learning environments by providing high-quality, cost-effective school infrastructure and by capacitating school communities for the continuous improvement of learning outcomes.
