The Metro Cebu Development and Coordinating Board – Research, Program, and Organizational Development Executive Committee (MCDCB RPOD Execom) conducted its first monthly meeting for 2018 last January 9 at the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc – Eduardo Aboitiz Development and Studies Center.
Dionisio Ledres, Jr., assistant regional director of the National Economic and Development Authority 7, presided the meeting. He shared to the group the consolidated comments and feedback for the 1 st Progress Report of the Metro Cebu Urban Transport Master Plan: Selection of Priority Projects and the Implementation of Pilot Projects.
Also discussed was the report of Engr. Earl Escuanela of the Department of Public Works and Highways – Unified Project Management Office, who gave an update on the status of the Drainage and Flood Control Master Plan Study and the Metro Cebu Flood Control Projects. Engr. Emmanuel “Bong” Espina of Metropolitan Cebu Water District, meanwhile, gave an update on the Metro Cebu Septage Treatment Plant Feasibility Study.
The 2018 schedule of Execom monthly meetings was presented by MCDCB RPOD Project Management Office (PMO) Director Evelyn Nacario-Castro. She then opened the floor for suggestions on possible changes in the schedule. Castro also updated the group on the progress of the Mega Cebu Development Authority Bill which is currently at the committee level of the House of Representatives Committee on Government Enterprises and Privatization.
Mega Cebu Communication and Stakeholders Relationship Manager (CSRM) Caroline Ballesteros, meanwhile, gave updates on the activities and initiatives of the Mega Cebu CSRM.
The Governance and Linkages Unit of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI-G&L) seeks to foster responsive institutions and an engaged citizenry through awards and recognition, good governance and leadership development programs, and active linkages and platforms of engagement and collaboration.
