The Eduardo Aboitiz Development Studies Center (EADSC) envisioned to articulate and demonstrate the Foundation's mission of democratizing development through the processes of dialogue, participation, and empowerment.

Since its inception in 1992 and subsequent establishment in 1994, it contributed to the conceptualization and implementation of programs designed to build collaboration and partnerships among groups with diverse sectoral interests.

These initiatives forged cooperative linkages between civil society, business, and the state.

Mission

To equip non-government organizations, community groups, and other institutions with strong development initiatives, through training and dialogue, policy studies and development, data banking and referral systems, research and other related services.

Training and Research Facilities

The Center has complete accommodations for live-out and live-in seminars.

It has well-maintained facilities with modern audio-visual equipment, function rooms, plenary hall, dining hall, dormitory and suite rooms.

Its support facility for research activities contains different materials in the form of books, magazines, videotapes, manuals and other information resources on water and watersheds, environment and natural resources management, governance and public policy. These are regularly updated through the collection of published materials or the compilation of studies from various local and foreign sources.
